Abstract: SPC floor is a kind of floor decorative materials by developed with high-quality,high-tech research,and has gradually become the mainstream product in the floor decoration market. This paper introduces the development of SPC flooring,discusses the application according to the characteristics of the technology according to technical process characteristics,summarizes the development trend in the future and how to select SPC floor products.

Overview of SPC floor development at home and abroad

From the perspective of application, the main application field of SPC floor in China is hotels, shopping malls, schools, etc., and the application in the household field accounts for less than 5%.  However, in Europe and the United States and other developed countries and regions, the proportion of SPC floor in the household field has been nearly 10%.  However, in recent years, the domestic data show that from 2017 to 2019, SPC production and sales increased by 10% year by year;  With the explosive growth of the domestic market in 2020, most of the top 100 domestic real estate enterprises have accepted SPC flooring products and selected them in their architectural designs.

The improvement of the urbanization level has brought continuous large market demand to the SPC floor industry.  China’s commercial housing sales area increases year by year resulting in China’s building decoration market demand continues to grow.  Therefore, SPC floor has a huge application market.

2 SPC Floor technology and process flow

SPC floor is made of extruder combined with T-mold extrusion PVC substrate, with three or four roller calendering machine respectively PVC wear-resisting layer, PVC color film and PVC substrate, online thermal cladding products, simple process, adhesion by heat to complete, no need for glue.  SPC floor materials use environmentally friendly formula, does not contain heavy metals, phthalates, methanol and other harmful substances, in line with EN14372, EN649-2011, IEC62321, GB4085-83 standards.
