White film, LDPE= low density Polyethylene, or high-pressure Polyethylene, is Polyethylene polymerized under high pressure conditions, the density is below 0.922.

HDPE= high-density Polyethylene, or low-voltage Polyethylene.  Density above 0.940.

Black geomembrane is mostly HDPE(high density polyethylene) geomembrane, white geomembrane is mostly LDPE(low density polyethylene) geomembrane.  The difference between the two is mainly in density and performance, the density of the former is larger, the density of the latter is smaller, the former is used as geotechnical engineering materials, the latter is used as thin film products.

Black geomembrane geomembrane is black is because geomembrane in joined the black masterbatch production, this kind of masterbatch particles in proportion to join geomembrane production processes, under normal circumstances, a small amount of masterbatch can process a large number of geomembrane, geomembrane masterbatch particles is very easy to machining, it will not affect the quality problem of the geomembrane.

White geomembrane is because the geomembrane inside added white master particles, white master particles will not affect the quality of geomembrane.  Black geomembranes are higher in density and performance than white LDPE geomembranes because most of them are HDPE geomembranes. White LDPE geomembrane used as film plastic products, the use is also relatively wide.

Because the density of HDPE black geomembrane is greater than that of LDPE white geomembrane, the two uses will be different. The overall quality comparison also needs to be compared according to the application of the two in the same type of construction, not to compare the length of the two (no comparability).  They are used differently in different construction, and sometimes they are substitutes for each other.

White LDPE geomembrane than black HDPE geomembrane has better extensibility, flexibility and stronger than the black HDPE geomembrane, achieve project construction specifications white LDPE geomembrane is a new generation of geotechnical seepage control material, ability to adapt in the same engineering will be stronger than the black HDPE geomembrane, now a lot of engineering can also be seen in the product.

As can be seen from the above, black HDPE geomembrane and white LDPE geomembrane have different applications in different projects and cannot be generalized. The two types of products have their own strengths and weaknesses. The quality of these two products should be considered based on different positions.
